These flowers are for my sister. For years, on every 10th of June I woke up in the morning before the others woke up, and run through the dew to the other side of the river, straight to the hill belonging to D. Mercedes, where Rosa canina shrubs were flowering, to collect some for my sister.
Then I usually joined forces with my other sister to copy the poem "7 Tanten" from Eugen Roth, that should not be missed on the birthday table for my sister. Original we were and foolish we still are.
